The wind has turned too northerly for our twin headsails (we can only go up to about 120 degrees to the wind with the twins up), so we spent an hour taking the poles down, changing the configuration and are now beamreaching with mainsail up again. Pitufa’s sloping, but this time to the portside–so sitting on the loo’s less adventurous and everything stays in the kitchen cupboards The wind’s still light and the low to the south is slowly moving on and getting less pronounced. The three boats that are also going to the Gambier and are ahead of us had quite a tough time down there in gale conditions, but in our corner of the blue disc the seas are calm (only the swell’s rising again to mountains and gives an impression of the storms in the south), the skies are blue and sailing’s as pleasant as it gets.+++++++ Wieder in Schraeglage Der Wind hat fuer unsere Zwillingsgenuas zu noerdlich gedreht (wir koennen nur bis etwa 120 Grad an den Wind gehen, wenn die Zwillinge oben sind), also haben wir eine Stunde damit verbracht die Baeume abzubauen und die ganze Konfiguration zu aendern und haben den Wind jetzt wieder von der Seite. Pitufa haengt wieder schief, aber dieses Mal auf die andere Seite – auf dem Klo sitzen ist somit weniger abenteuerlich und die Sachen bleiben im Kuechenkastl Der Wind ist leicht, das Tief im Sueden zieht langsam weiter und nimmt an Intensitaet ab. Die drei anderen Boote auf dem Weg zu den Gambier hatten weiter voraus ziemlich mit dem Sturm zu kaempfen, aber unsere Ecke der blauen Scheibe hat ruhiges Meer (nur die Duenung steigt wieder zu Bergen und gibt eine Idee von den Stuermen im Sueden), der Himmel ist blau und Segeln ist so angenehm wie moeglich.
