1/29: We met Waqa, the headman of Nabouwalu, his wife Marica and the rest of the "Nabouwalu Youth Club" when we brought our sevusevu to the village.
3/29: We explored around the little islands north of Kadavu...
4/29: ...and spent Christmas Eve on an uninhabited island.
8/29: For Christmas day Marica and Waqa had invited us, so we sailed back across the lagoon.
11/29: Marica had a few pots boiling in her kitchen...
12/29: Waqa and Sai opened the lovo, the earthoven, they had prepared in the morning.
13/29: Layers of Taro, taro leaves in coconut halves and half a pig!
15/29: The feast was prepared...
16/29: ...and set up buffet style
17/29: All the guests had a great time--vinaka vaka levu!!
18/29: On the way back we had dolphins riding the bow wave of the dinghy!
19/29: The next day we returned for a hike in the "bush" with Navu.
23/29: The underwater world in the lagoon is rather depressing. Not many fish and coral, lots of overgrown, dead coral.
26/29: We met a few tiny, colourful fishies!
28/29: This year's christmas tree (worm)!
