During the cyclone season 16/17 in the Gambier Islands we stayed as house-sitters on Taravai. The Polynesian owners Edouard and Denise live in Tahiti and are happy to have somebody looking after house and garden.

45/60: The owners left their pigs and they still roam around the area.

50/60: While we lived in the house we turned Pitufa into a building site.
51/60: We cut open one of our water tanks...
52/60: ... cleaned it...
53/60: ... and searched for the leak. The welding seam in the corner was corroded away.
54/60: We cleaned out all the craters and filled them with epoxy.
